WHEREAS, the Town Board (the “Board”) of the Town of North Hempstead (the “Town”) is desirous of rehabilitating the ballfields at John D. Caemmerer Park in Albertson (the “Project”); and,
WHEREAS, the Grant Coordinator has recommended that the Town accept a grant nomination from Assembly Member Gina Sillitti for a grant from the Dormitory Authority of the State of New York (the “Grant”); and
WHEREAS, the Grant is in the amount of One Hundred Twenty-Five Thousand and 00/100 Dollars ($125,000.00), with no local match requirement; and
WHEREAS, the Board wishes to accept the grant nomination from Assembly Member Gina Sillitti, and to authorize the Grant Coordinator to prepare and submit an application to the Dormitory Authority of the State of New York for the Grant (the “Application”).
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT
RESOLVED that the Board hereby accepts the grant nomination from Assembly Member Gina Sillitti for a grant from the Dormitory Authority of the State of New York for the Project; and, be it further;
RESOLVED, that the Board hereby authorizes the preparation and submission of the Application for the Grant; and be it further
RESOLVED that the Board hereby authorizes the Supervisor and/or her designee to execute any and all contracts, project agreements and other instruments or documents required in connection with the awarding and receipt of the Grant (“Contract Documents”), file the Contract Documents in the Office of the Town Clerk, submit Project documentation, and take such other action as my be reasonably required to undertake and complete the Project and receive the Grant; and be it further
RESOLVED that the Office of the Town Attorney be and hereby is authorized and directed to negotiate and supervise the execution of the Contract Documents in connection with the Project and the Grant.
