Supervisor DeSena offered the following resolution and moved its adoption, which resolution was declared adopted after a poll of the members of this Board:

RESOLUTION NO. 155 - 2024

A RESOLUTION AUTHORIZING THE TRANSFER OF FUNDS FROM THE GENERAL AND PART-TOWN CAPITAL PROJECTS RESERVE FUNDS.

        WHEREAS, the Town Board (the “Board”) of the Town of North Hempstead (the “Town”) has heretofore established a General Fund Capital Projects Reserve Fund (the “General Fund Reserve”) and a Part-Town Capital Projects Reserve Fund (the “Part-Town Fund Reserve”) (collectively, the “Reserve Funds”), pursuant to applicable law; and


WHEREAS, the Town desires to purchase various IT related items, including new laptops, desktops, monitors and Microsoft Surface Pros (the “Purchases”); and


WHEREAS, the Town has available funds in the General Fund Reserve and in the Part-Town Fund Reserve; and


WHEREAS, the Board desires to transfer to various capital accounts monies from the Reserve Funds, in the amount of $57,070.24 from the General Fund Reserve and $25,189.20 from the Part-Town Fund Reserve, to fund the Purchases as follows:


Laptops   $9,536.64
Desktops  $35,310.00
Monitors $9,340.80
Microsoft Surface Pros                    $28,072.00

 

and;


WHEREAS, after careful consideration, the Board finds it in the best interests of the Town to make the transfer of monies as outlined above (collectively the “Transfers”).


NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT


RESOLVED that the Board hereby authorizes the Transfers as outlined above; and be it further


RESOLVED that the Offices of the Town Attorney and Comptroller are hereby directed to take such action as may be necessary to effectuate the foregoing.
