Supervisor DeSena offered the following resolution and moved its adoption, which resolution was declared adopted after a poll of the members of this Board:

RESOLUTION NO. 145 - 2024

A RESOLUTION APPOINTING DEPUTY TOWN CLERK CHRISTOPHER RUSSO AS MARRIAGE OFFICER OF THE TOWN OF NORTH HEMPSTEAD.

WHEREAS, Domestic Relations Law §11-c authorizes the Town Board to appoint marriage officers who shall have the authority to solemnize marriages within the Town of North Hempstead (the “Town”); and

WHEREAS, this Board wishes to appoint Deputy Town Clerk Christopher Russo as marriage officer.

NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT

RESOLVED that Deputy Town Clerk Christopher Russo, being duly qualified, be and hereby are appointed as marriage officer of the Town of North Hempstead commencing March 5, 2024, to serve without compensation from the Town.
