WHEREAS, the Town of North Hempstead (the “Town”) Department of Public Works (the “Department”) requires the services of an engineering consulting firm to provide professional services in connection with the Installation of Wave Attenuator Float Structure at North Hempstead Beach Park, Port Washington, New York, DPW Project No. 24-04 (the “Services”); and
WHEREAS, the Department of Public Works has recommended that the Town enter into an agreement with GEI Consultants, Inc. of 1000 New York Avenue, Suite B, Huntington Station, NY 11746 to provide the Services in consideration of an amount not to exceed Nineteen Thousand Eight Hundred and 00/100 Dollars ($19,800.00) (the “Agreement”); and
WHEREAS, the Department of Public Works has requested that this Board authorize the Agreement.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT
RESOLVED that the Agreement be and hereby is authorized; and be it further
RESOLVED that the Supervisor or her designee be and hereby is authorized and directed to execute, on behalf of the Town, the Agreement, a copy of which Agreement which shall be on file in the Office of the Town Clerk; and be it further
RESOLVED that the Office of the Town Attorney be and hereby is authorized and directed to negotiate and supervise the execution of the Agreement and to take such further action as may be necessary to effectuate the foregoing; and be it further
RESOLVED that the Comptroller be and hereby is authorized and directed to pay the costs of the Services upon receipt of a duly executed Agreement and certified claims therefor.
